Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but it is also one where we have to be careful and wise to keep our family and friends safe. So here are some basic tips to remember so our night goes smoothly.
#1. Light ‘Em Up, Up …. Be Visible
A lot is going on, crowds and cars coming and going. Being visible to others will avoid any collision. Dollar Tree has glow in the dark accessories, reflective tape, and lantern flashlights at accessible prices for the whole family.
#2. Have the talk
Before adventuring into the night be sure to discuss the do’s and don’ts.
Do not enter houses or vehicles. Skip homes that are not lit up. Stay together with your group of family and friends.
#3. Watch what comes in….
Sorting through candy before it’s consumed. Anything unusual or open wrappers toss it. When in doubt, throw it out. Setting your limits of consumption, how much is too much? Most importantly don’t forget to brush.
#4. Slow down
Whether you’re driving or walking be careful, watch out for pedestrians and other vehicles. Exit driveways and alleys with caution, use designated crosswalks if available. Never assume you have the right away or that you have been seen, make eye contact and then proceed.
